Imperfectly Perfect.
Before Elijah was born I thought I would have SO many opportunities to get great photos of him…..then he was born and I realized how wrong I was. It’s hard enough just being mom… but being mom and photographer at the same time is tough and exhausting! It’s so much easier photographing my clients. I’m such a perfectionist but I’ve had to come to the realization that I don’t need “perfect” pictures all the time (and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever taken a “perfect” picture) as long as I can just capture the moments no matter what the photo looks like – imperfectly perfect photos. So I take tons of imperfect photos almost every day and then some days I get lucky enough that they’re not as imperfect as most. I am, however, looking forward to getting someone else to take our photos one day so I can just be mom and not the photographer too.
Micah is One
I remember going to the hospital to see this little guy the day he was born and look at him now! It blows my mind how much they grow and advance in just a year! Now I need to go hug on my 12 week old and absorb the little baby time that I will get with him.

One Month
Well Elijah is 6 weeks old now so I figured it was about time to blog some “one month” shots. I just love this boy!! He gets cuter and cuter everyday! I’m going to go ahead and apologize in advance for the many photos I will be posting of him and for going on and on about him. I just can’t help it!

This just goes to prove that I can’t guarantee your child will go home clean after a session with me. If it makes it any better, I got pretty dirty too! 
Growing Boy
He’s 9 months already!! Well I guess he’s more like 11 months now. (I’ve gotten so far behind on the blogging) That means we’ll be doing his one year photos soon!! I can’t believe it and I know his Mommy can’t either. He gets cuter and cuter every time I see him!!! I know I say this every time but I really really love capturing babies grow!!
